National Batik Day, Danar Hadi Holds My Batik Story Theme
Surakarta - In commemoration of National Batik Day on October 2, 2022, Batik Danar Hadi held a batik day event with the theme "My Batik Story". The event, which began on Saturday (1/10/2022), was held at the House of Danar Hadi, Surakarta.
"On Batik Day this year, we are not talking about MSMEs, but we are talking about batik education," said PT Danar Hadi Managing Director Diana Santosa during a press conference, Saturday (1/10/2022).
Diana said that the event featured the concept of an edutainment program dedicated to kindergarten - high school students and families. Where this is through museum introduction activities as well as providing various play activities while introducing batik directly.
Various interesting activities, namely a visit to the Danar Hadi batik museum, story telling with Uncle Gerry, coloring activities, puzzles, batik making, scribbling and trying out a 360 camera will be presented to be enjoyed by participants and event visitors.
"Talking about batik is usually serious, so the children don't have fun," he said.
Various market snacks and batik exhibitions for children and families will add to the excitement of the event at this event.
Visitors can also watch a series of fashion show competitions for the children's category as well as fashion shows from inspiring families who will enliven the event this afternoon.
The event was also attended by the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming and his wife, Selvi Ananda and his two sons Jan Ethes and La Lembah Manah.
The Mayor of Solo and his family will participate in a series of events and will symbolically carry out mural activities with representatives from Danar Hadi batik in celebration of the 2022 National Batik Day.
"This program is a form of commitment and concern from Batik Danar Hadi to continue to be able to develop the batik industry in the country, especially in providing education and introducing batik to the next generation of the nation.
