Serang-Angkasa Pura II Campaign for Batik at Soetta Airport
Serang, – Serang Regency Government and Angkasa Pura II commemorate National Batik Day together. The activity was carried out by exhibiting the typical batik of Serang Regency and presenting a batik place for visitors at Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), Monday (03/10/2022).
The Regent of Serang Ratu Tatu Chasanah attended the event directly. There are three places in Terminal 2 of Soetta Airport that are used to showcase various batik products typical of Serang Regency, including those made using the ecoprint method. Batik method that uses natural dyes from tannins or leaf dyes.
“Alhamdulillah, this activity is a form of our pride in Indonesian batik. At the same time as an effort to preserve and continue to innovate to develop various batik motifs, especially batik typical of Serang Regency, "said Tatu to reporters.
Just to note, the Regent of Serang has initiated the typical batik of Serang Regency. 12 unique batiks were created in collaboration with Komar Batik House. They are Pamarayan Dam, Gandaria/Jatake, Bumi Jaya Pottery, Karangbolong, Cikoneng Lighthouse, Pancawarna and Jamblang Paok Bird, Pencak Silat and Golok, Sangiang Island Motif, Swamp Lake and Javanese Eagle, Jamblang Fruit, Tunda Island, and Pottery Ornament Pencak Silat. .
“Through this activity, it is an opportunity to introduce 12 batik motifs typical of Serang Regency. To be better known to the wider community and become the pride of the people of Serang Regency. We express our gratitude and appreciation to Angkasa Pura II for giving us the opportunity," he said.
The cooperation between the Serang Regency Government and Bandar Soetta will be even wider, in order to support the economy of the Serang Regency community. Spots or displays will be provided in several places at Soetta Airport. It is used to showcase a number of MSME products as well as Serang Regency tourism campaigns.
"The Angkasa Pura II invites the Serang Regency Government to promote tourism at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. This is our chance to recover the post-C0v1d-I9 economy. We are moving the MSME economy again. We invite more local and foreign tourists to visit Serang Regency," he said.
PT Angkasa Pura II through the Senior Manager of Terminal Service & Facility Terminal 2 Heru Karyadi said he fully supports the Serang Regency Government program in an effort to improve the community's economy through the MSME and tourism sectors.
