SMA 15 Padang & SMA Murni Students Learn Batik at PKD 2022
PADANG, SMA 15 Padang and SMA Murni students learn batik at the 2022 Regional Cultural Week (PKD) at the Cultural Park, Wednesday (5/10).
There are 23 students of SMA 15 Padang who learn batik. While Pure High School 16 people.
This student made batik with the Advisor of Canting Buana, Yusri. They are taught basic batik techniques.
The teacher of SMA 15 Padang, Melda Sari, said that this student studied batik education as part of the Art Criticism course.
"It is hoped that they will also master the batik technique so that it can become a skill," he said.
Students seemed very happy to learn batik with instructors directly from Canting Buana.
As reported, PKD 2022 will be held on October 1-5, 2022.
In PKD, a number of traditional cultural communities from twelve districts and creations from seven cities in West Sumatra appeared.
In addition, there are cultural actors, who try to bring the various visual riches of West Sumatra to the exhibition space in the form of pure and applied art.
In addition, there is also a stage for theatrical performances, music and dance. There are literacy activities, traditional village games and traditional food from various regions of West Sumatra.
