INACRAFT exhibition which carries the theme Youthpreneurs
Jakarta - The Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) also attended the opening of the largest craft exhibition in Southeast Asia, INACRAFT on October 2024, which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan.
This event was inaugurated by the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Teten Masduki, by symbolically coloring batik which marked the start of the exhibition which took place from 2 to 6 October 2024.
The INACRAFT on October exhibition which carries the theme Youthpreneurs, Make It at Market with the tagline Totally Different provides a focus, especially on young entrepreneurs with the hope that they can take part and create markets and be able to excel, not only domestically, but also abroad.
In his remarks, the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Teten Masduki hoped that this exhibition could be a forum for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop innovation and creativity, so that they can compete in the global market.
"Talking about INACRAFT in the world, we are unmatched. Therefore, this is an economic potential that we must develop its business ecosystem so that we can truly dominate the global market," said Teten on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
On the same occasion, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Association (ASEPHI) Muchsin Rijan appreciated all parties who have helped MSMEs in Indonesia to be more advanced, especially in the Asia Pacific.
"Hopefully this exhibition will not only be a meeting place for buyers and sellers, but as a place to build a creative socio-cultural economic community that will develop the national economy," said Muchsin
"So INACRAFT is not just a B to C or B to B buying and selling, but a community that will continue to be developed, of course assisted by all parties," he continued.
Muchsin also appreciated the young generation of ASEPHI members who contributed to the INACRAFT exhibition on October 2024, especially the young generation who came from all over Indonesia.
For information, DJKI also participated in the INACRAFT exhibition in October 2024 by opening an intellectual property consultation service booth and exhibiting several geographical indication products in Indonesia.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by PT Pertamina (Persero) recorded brilliant achievements at the 2024 International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft). On the second day of the exhibition, Pertamina's MSMEs achieved transactions of more than IDR 1 billion, indicating the great potential of local products in the global market.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, said that Inacraft is one of the largest craft exhibitions in Southeast Asia and is a golden opportunity for MSMEs to introduce their superior products to the international market. "On the first two days of the Inacraft exhibition, MSMEs fostered by Pertamina have achieved transactions of more than IDR 1 billion. This is real proof that our local products have high quality and are highly competitive for the international market," said Fadjar in his press statement in Jakarta, Saturday (October 2024).
Pertamina consistently supports the development of MSMEs through corporate social responsibility programs. This support is realized by providing opportunities for MSMEs to participate in exhibitions such as Inacraft, which this year was attended by 20 MSMEs from various regions in Indonesia. The products displayed focus on uniqueness and local wisdom.
One of the fostered MSMEs, Sutedjo, owner of Sekar Mukti Craft from Bantul, Yogyakarta, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given by Pertamina. "I feel grateful that under Pertamina's guidance I can develop as I am today," he said. Fostered since 2009, Sutedjo is now able to manage his business better, improve product quality, and expand the market to the international level. "Now, our business is able to compete at the national level, and has even penetrated the international market and exhibitions in Dubai and South Africa with costs fully borne by Pertamina," he added.
In addition, Sutedjo also revealed that the proceeds from the exhibition helped him pay for the treatment of his second child who has special needs. In its production process, it also empowers underprivileged, mute, and deaf communities, demonstrating the broad social impact of its efforts.
Fadjar added that through the MSME Partnership Program, Pertamina provides intensive assistance, training, and capital support to MSME actors. This aims to improve the quality of their products and services so that they can compete in the global market. "With the right assistance, Pertamina's MSMEs can be of higher quality, resilient, and competitive. This is Pertamina's contribution to driving the national economy and community welfare," concluded Fadjar.
