Design of a Teacher of SMK Salafiyah Kajen Shown at the Solo Batik Fashion Event

PATI – One of the creations of Bintari Kustianingrum, a teacher at the Salafiyah Vocational High School (SMK), Kajen Village, Margoyoso District, Pati, was shown at the recent Solo Batik Fashion event. The activity is in order to enliven the 2022 National Batik Day.

Bintari with the brand ATTAMODA8 brought the name Pati in the event.

A number of big names in the fashion world such as Itang Yunasz from Jakarta, Lia Afif from Surabaya, Aam Kekean and Cok Abi from Denpasar, Sugeng Waskito, Vitalia Pamoengkas, Zam Wawir, Dadang Koesdarto from Yogyakarta and Rorry Wardana, Joko SSP, Tuty Adib from Solo, also enlivened the prestigious fashion event in Solo.

Attamoda8 issued a collection of simple cutting mixes and flexible mixes so that batik was transformed into casual clothing with a modern impression and could be loved by young people today.

The SBF in 2022 was attended by a number of designers both from within and outside the country. Not only that, designers from abroad such as from Malaysia, the Netherlands and Korea also displayed their works. Likewise for young designers in the country.

Carrying the theme “Dejavu”, Bintari wants to return to the past where classic batik was the choice of clothing on various occasions.

“I presented eight outfits with the theme of Dejavu. I chose that theme because it felt like I was back in a similar situation where classic batik has always been the choice of dress on various occasions in the past,” she explained.

For her, batik is not only about the beauty of a piece of cloth, but also being able to travel time in the past with history and across generations.
