Students of TKIT Permata Insani Jamil Decorate Batik Works

 Jepara, TKIT Permata Insani Jamil, an early childhood education institution located in Jepara, has succeeded in inspiring its students to create stunning batik artwork. In a beautiful collaboration between TKIT Permata Insani Jamil and Batik Sekar Jepara, the children of the kindergarten colored stunning batik artwork with various traditional motifs.


Batik, a traditional Indonesian art that has been recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, has inspired the children of TKIT Permata Insani Jamil. In an effort to introduce the art of batik to students from an early age, the educational institution collaborated with Batik Sekar Jepara, a leading batik company in the area.

In this project, the children were invited to participate in the process of coloring the prepared batik cloth. They were given lessons on the history and meaning behind the art of batik as well as the correct coloring techniques. The students enthusiastically explored their imagination and creativity while coloring the batik artwork given.

Batik Sekar Jepara also assisted and provided guidance to the students in applying colors and filling in the specified batik motifs. This process was carried out carefully and cautiously to ensure that each batik work produced was of good quality.

The results of the children's work at TKIT Permata Insani Jamil were truly stunning. The batik cloth that was previously empty has now transformed into a colorful work of art that has a story behind each motif. The children showed perseverance and precision when coloring, and expressed their creativity with enthusiasm.

The Principal of TKIT Permata Insani Jamil, Mrs. Dina, expressed her pride in the results of the students' hard work and the good cooperation between the educational institution and Batik Sekar Jepara. She hopes that this project can be the first step for students to maintain and preserve batik art, as well as foster their interest in art and culture.
